Advancing Animal Health and Welfare
The Caring for Pets Fund specifically benefits the health and welfare
of companion animals.
The Caring for Pets Fund is one of the easiest ways
that individual veterinarians can help the Trust. Many veterinarians
have chosen to make a donation to the Caring for Pets Fund in the memory
of patients that have died or been euthanased. Owners of much loved
pets are usually comforted by the generosity of their vet, knowing that
their pet is being remembered in a way which is of so much benefit to
companion animals in the future.
When a donation is made by a veterinarian in the memory
of a client’s pet, a letter is sent to the owner, acknowledging
the Veterinarian involved. The client is offered the opportunity to
recognize their pet on our 'In Memoriam' page (see below) and is sent
a packet of seeds (kindly donated by Seed West in Wanneroo) to plant
in memory of their loved pet. The scheme is a small but growing and
important part of the Trust, and is a beautiful way for private practitioners
to acknowledge the personal loss to their client, at the same time as
helping pets of the future. Members of the public may also donate directly
to the Caring For Pets Fund and enquiries can be directed to the Trust
